Quick Tip - Entry Notices
An Entry Notice is completed by the property manager/owner and given to the tenant to inform them of the property manager/owner’s intention to enter the property on a certain date.
The property manager/owner can only enter a property for a valid reason and if the correct notice has been given.
All relevant Entry Notice periods are shown on the form however a few important periods to note are:
- General Inspections (maximum once every three months – Minimum seven days notice
- Repairs – Minimum 24 hours notice
- Inspections with prospective tenants or buyers – Minimum 24 hours notice
- Checking tenant has fixed breach – Minimum 24 hours notice.
